The Shelby County Fair Corporation is organized to promote and advance knowledge and public interest in agriculture, horticulture, and the improvement of agricultural products, livestock, implements and equipment as well as articles of domestic industry through education and the conduct of an annual county fair in Shelby County, Iowa. We provide industrial exhibits, demonstrations, and competition aimed at the advancement of livestock, horticulture, and agriculture with special emphasis placed on educational activities such as 4-H, FFA, and similar youth development programs. While enjoying these high-minded pursuits, fair visitors are also able to see, hear, touch, smell, and taste the richness and variety of what the world has to offer. In addition, our grandstand and racetrack are used weekly, mid-April through mid-September, for car races.
